The Transition Workers will listen and provide support, this may include going along with families to appointments or initial meetings, assisting with the completion of forms or generally offering to help the families with day to day life, at a time when they need it most.
Many things can be obstacles to accessing services including, lack of confidence, literacy, or worries about housing, relationships or money.
Preventative family support can prevent families getting into a crisis situation and assit with issues such as accessing support for housing, benefits, grant aid and other issues which may affect the family and limit their ability to attend the Flying Start programme.
