Cymryd Rhan

The Cymryd Rhan Childcare Business Support Team was set up in November 2013 delivering Childcare Business Support to the childcare settings of Powys. Cymryd Rhan is a charity and care provider in Wales. The words “Cymryd Rhan” mean “Taking Part” in welsh. Our main objective is to provide care for people and support them when they need it most. We focus on supporting lots of different citizens who are living life in a way of their choosing. We not only deliver Childcare Business Support but also provide domiciliary care, supported living, floating support, QCF’s and training. We work in a number of local authorities including Wrexham, Flintshire, Conwy, Carmarthen, Powys and Merthyr Tydfil to name a few.

The Cymryd Rhan Childcare Business Support Team was awarded the contract to deliver Childcare Business Support to the settings within Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council as of the 1st November 2018. We are based at Cwm Golau Integrated Children's Centre.  Staff can all be reached via email or mobile, and aim to deal with all enquires within a 48 hours maximum turn around.

Within our roles as the Childcare Business Support Team we are able to offer help and support with the following areas – sample policies and procedures, grant and funding support, supervision and appraisal training, committee skills and guidance, conversion to CIO, GDPR, recruitment, team building, CIW registrations and recommendations, CIW notification of changes and variations, marketing, business plans and cash flows, help on becoming a childminder, Welsh language support for English settings and much, much more.
